I follow the instructions as followed (I have 1.3.2, btw). I go to %appdata%, .minecraft, bin, minecraft.jar, and then I delete META-INF. I transfer all of the mod files that are needed into minecraft.jar. Tutorials say now you're done! When I get on Minecraft, the mod isn't in the game.

So I tried the second way: use Forge. I got Jammy Furniture to work, but not the other mods. None of the other mods appeared in-game.

Third way: use mod managers... That didn't work either. I got an error message saying something about Main-Class attributes. I can't seem to get ANY mods to work, any help? I keep trying over and over again, each time restarting by forcing an update. Someone tried to help me by having me download Technic and Tekkit or whatever it is called, but it isn't Minecraft, so it doesn't have the game I want to put the mod in...


Thanks for any help that gets the mods working!

1. Backup your worlds
2.delete your .minecraft
3.start up minecraft to generate a new .minecraft
4.Follow the instructions to install the mod

so Im in the middle of instaling a mod. I get into bin and cklick on the one that says Minecraft. Boom . A java exeption has ocurred. I dont get it. Whats wrong with it?

You need to right click it, click Open With.. and click whatever you use for reading zip files, like WinRAR (I reccomend WinRAR), 7zip, and Winzip.
