Minecraft Cursor Problem

Whenever I play minecraft, as soon as I try to mine something it will bring up the game menu. And then when I click resume game, my mouse (pointer, arrow) is on the screen along with the cross. Minecraft is basically unplayable and I don't know why. Please help. Thanks.

Yes, this normally happens when the keybindings have been changed.

Are you playing in the browser window or the standalone client?

Try a different browser, I've heard that some lose focus like that.

I always use Chrome, and I tried Explorer, and it still didn't work. My mouse is fine on everything else though.

Nevermind, I downloaded the standalone client and it works perfectly. I just didn't want to download it so I could save space.
