Hello, miners. I am having a bit of an issue on SSP that needs to be resolved and was hoping you lovely people could help me out. The problem is that some of the sounds aren't working. For example; the walking sound, placing blocks sound and mob sound isn't working at all. I have tried everything. Even the F3+S trick but it hasn't helped at all. It was working fine before I installed the Twilight Forest Mod onto my SSP world and went in. Due to the Twilight Forest Mod not living up to what I hoped, I deleted my .minecraft. I completely forgot that my awesome SSP save was in there. I then had to recover it from the properties section of the saves folder. I recovered it but there are none of the sounds listed above. If anyone could help, it would be greatly appreciated.

If you are using AVG antivirus, you need to disable link scanner for 5 minutes or so while playing to let minecraft download the sounds. For some reason link scanner blocks the sounds from being downloaded.
McAfee also blocks it on some systems, I don't now McAfee well enough to say if you can only disable a portion of it, so you would need to disable all of it, again for about 5 minutes.

I am using Windows Security Essentials and it doesn't have link scanner. Also, I tried the level on the browser and there is still no sound.

UPDATE: I fixed it. The problem seemed to be that the I was still in the Forest when I logged off and recovered it. It mixed up the sound files but going to the Nether and back seemed to fix it!
