Recently, Minecraft goes to a black screen if I do anything to the .jar. Adding new files, removing the META-INF, even using MCPATCHER causes my game to crash. Please, any support you could give on how to change this happening would be appreciated.
Sorry for late reply, but I'm doing what I did before, deleting the .minecraft folder for them to work, redownloading Minecraft, and removing the META-INF. They refuse to work, and it aggravates me because they use to work before I upgraded my PC to Windows 7
I do update the video card card drivers, it's always the first thing I do after I rebuild or upgrade my pc. Also, someone mentioned using optifine. The first mod I attempted to use was optifine, but it didn't work.
Well, if you aren't going to post a dxdiag, how about an error report.

It depends on what files you're adding to your Jar. Also, I recommend using Optifine instead of MCPatcher.

Retired StaffGo to www.intel.com or www.amd.com or www.nvidia.com and download the latest drivers for your video card. Based on the type of card you have.
The drivers from windows update, don't include opengl support, so you need the drivers from the manufacturer.
If you don't know what graphics card you have or are still having trouble, please post a dxdiag report.
