So, I've recently decided to pick up minecraft on my new system again, but this one problem has kind of been bugging the hell out of me. Simply put, no matter what I do, set in the settings, install or tweak, the chunks will only render up to a certain distance, usually a little more or a little less than "normal", even with optifine installed. I might also add, that the chunks always render in a square.
I'm running Minecraft on 64-Bit Windows 7 and already have 64-Bit Java installed and increased memory from 512-1024 MB to 1024-2048 MB.
Is there anyone who's experiencing the same problem, and how could I possible get a higher render distance? I would really like to set it to something a little bigger than "Far". Any help or clues are appreciated.
I've had this problem for nearly a year now, I've tried reinstalling java, using optifine, I've changed graphics cards AND cpu's since it's started. Something just isn't right.
