I am having a problem loading my computer minecraft. I bought Minecraft from http://www.minecraft.net/ a month ago. I was only able to log in offline one time. The game had serious lag for some reason. Every time I tried to log back in offline I got a black screen at the end of the load. I have never been able to play the multiplayer version either. The site keeps saying "the server must be down". However, I can play the single player online version. I have never tried to get a fake copy of minecraft. I wouldn't even know how or where to try to do that. I heard if you pirate it then buy the legit version you can have problems, so it's not that. I did try to locate Minecraft saves in the windows driver save files, but I found nothing just for checking sake. I also did the force update. I own the Pocket Edition of Minecraft; I just wanted to upgrade to a better platform. The only thing saved to my computer is my PE minecraft worlds from my phone just in case they get erased. I removed my Minecraft offline and server. I tried reinstalling them, but I still got the same problems time after time. I must be doing something wrong? If anyone has any advice for me, thank you SO much ; )
P.S. I removed all Java from my computer and installed what the minecraft site suggested to make sure I didn't have different versions of java on my computer at the same time.
You can't play Minecraft because it gives you a black screen? Is that the problem you are having currently, or was that a previous problem?
Assuming you are on windows, go to your start menu and type in the search %appdata% and double click on the folder .minecraft, then delete the bin folder in there.
Now try starting the Minecraft, it should redownload itself.
Also, you stated that you uninstalled Java, did you make sure to reinstall it? Becuase Minecraft will not work without it.
Also make sure you download the correct version, if your PC is 32 bit then get the 32 bit version, if it is 64 bit then get the 64 bit version.
If you don't know if your system is 32 bit or 64 bit, you can check by opening up your start menu, right clicking Computer and clicking properties, you should now see under System Type either, 32-bit Operating System or 64-bit Operating System, make sure Java matches that.
If that was to confusing, or if you have any further questions, please do ask :)!
