I want to point minecraft to read my .minecraft folder in a RAMdisk. (Mac)

That's weird, I answered this previously, but I guess your thread got deleted since you doubled posted. Here's the solution again. Move your Minecraft Folder to a place you like and create a Symbolic Link to it.

Copy to Terminal:

ln -s 

Then, drag the Minecraft Folder from the new location to the Terminal Window. Next, copy

~/Library/Application\ Support

to the Terminal Window and press Enter.

Im trying to figure out the same thing.

After i do that, what do i do to launch minecraft? Do i just do the

java -Xms512M -Xmx512M -cp minecraft.jar net.minecraft.LauncherFrame

?

Launch Minecraft Normally.

I did the stuff you said to do and it just created an alias in my Application Suppor folder and nothing changed.
