Is it possible to "update", and I mean, to use a 1.3.2 map and run it through an option or a mod that would add new features, like carrots and potatoes in Jungles?
Or will they appear on their own if I simply start the game with 1.4 snapshot?
PS: not counting new "zombies drop carrots" as an map update.

Thank you. I found about it moments ago, and I just used MCEdit to delete chunks I didn't touch, just saw from afar, so the 1.4 will regenerate those chunks the same way they were, but with new features (jungle mainly).

I think the 1.4 terrain that you generate might be of a completely different seed. You might have a plains biome that suddenly races up to a mountain biome that was generated after you loaded the snapshot.

I believe it will be generated from the same seed, but that still could happen due to slight differences between terrain generation in the updates, but it won't be too dramatic of a change.

Hope I helped,
