I recently (four or five months ago) bought a new laptop. Samsung Chronos Series 7. For some reason, my old laptop is running minecraft better than this one. I've tried installing optifine, dropping all my settings to a minimum and using the default texture pack, im running windows 7 64-bit and I've made sure to install the correct java. Nothing seems to be working.
The laptop's specs are: 8.00GB RAM, Intel i7 2.20GHz, Windows 7 64-bit, AMD Radeon 6750M card.
I know itll sounds weird but turn fog all the way off so your computer can get used to the demands of minecraft. Also put graphics on "fancy", just trust me, your computer needs to "warm up".
googling samsung chronos 7 opengl shows that your laptop is another one with switchable graphics that don't switch for applications like Minecraft. So you are basically running on Intel integrated graphics right now.
I gave both a try and i seem to have gotten a tiny increase in performance. I managed to make it so minecraft uses the dedicated graphics processor, but it seems to still run pretty slow. Anyone else got an idea?
I know how to solve this problem as my computer was the exact same. Please get back to me as thtis will be a loooooooong walkthrough. ( if you havent already solved it)

You should check for driver and BIOS updates at samsung's support site (wherever it is)
