I keep getting a "connection reset" error when I try to join a server online? I have tried reinstalling minecraft and redownloading it as well, others are able to get on the server fine?
Make sure the server is on your version of Minecraft and it's not for Tekkit or Spout. If that is not the problem, I would disable your firewall and try to connect. If all of those do not work, I would just log off and try connecting again in a couple of hours.
