Hello everyone, I'm having trouble loading up Minecraft and playing it on my recently squired Acer Travelmate 4674
Specs
Xp Sp3 Build 2600
CPU: Intel® CPU T2500 @ 2.00 GHZ - Dual Core, right?
RAM: 2046 MB of Ram. Shouldn't it be 48? Dxdiag Says this though.
GPU: ATI Radeon x1400 128mb Video Memory.
Java: Version 6 Update 27 - I've also Tried Version 7.
I originally ran minecraft and it was fairly smooth, but I was plagued by "Minecraft has run out of memory errors" literally every thirty seconds. I went through every post I could fine about allocating more memory to minecraft, but Couldn't make them work (I'm fairly Computer Savvy, too) I have two minecraft memory allocation tools, both of them fail to launch minecraft at all, and the .bat files i'm told to make either close the moment they're opened, or tell me I have a corrupt .jar file. I have re-downloaded .minecraft twice.
Finally, I gave up on running minecraft by allociting more memory to it. So I downloaded to minecraft texture pack basicraft (http://www.planetmin...sicraft-494373/) put optifine on it, and patched it with MC Patcher. Now after running it for less than 5 seconds I'm presented with minecraft crashing and this crash log
Minecraft has crashed!

You installed and/or patch a mod wrong that's why it say
java.lang.NoSuchFieldError: randomMobsInfo
don't use MCpatcher to install mods , installed them manually so you can make sure you did it correctly.
Oh and with your specs you can allocate more memory.
you only have 2gb ram and you need a 64 bit system to allocate more , so if you allcoate it will probably allocate 1.5 gb.

Do I have to have a 64-bit OS to allocate more? Would upgrading to Xp x64 possibly help? I do have an x64 CPU
