My minecraft will run smooth as can be for about 5 mins, then it starts lagging up and eventually stopping altogether. It seems like my Java is taking all my memory starting at 500k and reaching 1.3m before lagging the entire game solid. Is there any fix to this ?
Not much to work with, but I'll try my best.
1. Run in power saver (recommended) or VSync.
2. Is your computer overheating?
3. Give Minecraft more/less ram
4. Run it at lower settings, like normal or shorter render distance instead of far
My computer should be able to run this 1000x,i just reinstalled java and im trying to reallocate ram but i don't know how to do it as the instructions i am using don't seem to work.
I understand your not getting an error, but that script gives us a bit of info about your system and your minecraft install (mods, etc), that could help figure out the problem.
Run that batch file, load up your world, exit out like you normally would. copy all the text in the console window, paste the results back here.

Dev builds of java might not be stable yet. Stick to the public releases.
I'd uninstall the version you have and download it from here: http://www.java.com/...load/manual.jsp
Also, the batch file should be in the same location as your minecraft.exe
If you don't know how to make a batch file:
Just create an empty text file, paste the line from above in that text file. (Again make sure to change the path to java to match your install location) Save the text file, the name doesn't matter, I call mine, startmc. Then change the extension of the text file from .txt to .bat

Zombiecraft Maps!
If that doesn't work, post back here.

Retired StaffAre you running any mods?
What ones? Version numbers of each?
Try launching minecraft using a batch file that includes the following: (You'll need to change the java path to match the path on your system)
