I have a bit of an issue. Minecraft.exe wont open for me.
Background time:
Yesterday I was trying to play with a mod, couldn't figure it out, so I deleted the .minecraft folder, opened the game, and bam! fresh craftyness.
Earlier today I decided to play around with Java and try to learn a few things. I installed Eclipse and the Java development kit. Tried to play around for a bit.
Later this evening I experianced the server connection issue everyone is talking about so I completly uninstalled all java on my PC and re-downloaded Java 7 update 7.
When I still encountered problems, I did a system restore to before I started messing with mods and Java itself (yesterday early afternoon)
So... Fresh Minecraft & fresh Java... right?
Now when I try to open Minecraft.exe it tries for a moment then decided to stop. No errors. nothing.
Java.com says my Java is up to date. I even tried reinstalling Minecraft.
Since none of that was working, I tried to play in browser. it loaded to 90%. said it was finished, and got stuck.
I'm really at a loss for what to do and how to fix this. Anyone have ideas?
I'm running Windows 7 64 bit. If you need system specs, I can post those.
I appreciate any assistance I can get.
Thank you in advance

Looks like a different problem then I am experiencing, but thanks for trying to hijack my thread 4BSTR4CT.
I'm just looking for some help here. I have looked around google and I can't find anyone with my particular problem. All I can see to find are people reporting problems with Java RE problems and a long list of error code like 4BSTR4CT listed above. I get NO errors of ANY kind. The launcher just doesn't load or open.

Aaah look on the error log i have something seems like a java error.
Delete every single java that you have useing configuration screen.
Install a fresh java from LINK.
Delete minecraft.exe
and download a fresh one from www.minecraft.net.
This should fix it if that doesn't work try and install .net framework 4
Thank you very much Bermout. The launcher is coming up and everything seems to be working again. I really appreciate your help.
Thank you!

I'm just looking for some help here. I have looked around google and I can't find anyone with my particular problem. All I can see to find are people reporting problems with Java RE problems and a long list of error code like 4BSTR4CT listed above. I get NO errors of ANY kind. The launcher just doesn't load or open.
Thank you very much Bermout. The launcher is coming up and everything seems to be working again. I really appreciate your help.
Thank you!
