Good to see that after years of development and paying for a game that is supposedly past it's beta stages, they still can't get reliable servers to handle all the players that use Minecraft.
503 error: When minecraft is down for a period of time for you to get up and do some thing.
Example: Since Minecraft is down i'll go get that drink.

All sites normally do this. Even tumblr's maker said:

it'll be tomorrow before they fix it since the assholes at Mojang can't be bothered to work at night. they are asleep so all of thier paying customers have to wait on them instead of the other way around like it should be. they should be on call 24/7 like any good IT people would be to fix things. I guess that's what happens when you live in a communist society, you forget about responsibility and how customer service should be, they would rather take the "bend over and take this up your ass" attitude towards their customers. **** mojang.

we know they don't have anybody working on it because they never do at this time of night. when they have someone working on it it's only ever just one person as they don't even employ 20 people, AND they always update on twitter when they are working on it. also, I paid for a game that I am unable to play as advertised, and this is a pattern with them. They do not take it seriously as they don't give a crap. They already have my money, so they don't feel like they need to do anything to keep me satisfied. they don't know the first thing about dealing with customers or caring about how they are in relation to customer satisfaction. Plain and simple, they aren't working on it and they don't give a crap since they are sleeping. here in america if a server admin or IT professional didn't wake up and get the server back online at any hour of the night they would lose thier job for it, where as over in Sweden the commies don't give a damn. it's pathetic and proof they are a joke of a company and will never be taken seriously on a large scale. sad sad sad.

Dude, seriously... I gave a 20.00 bill to buy the game two years ago. How much entertainment value could you expect from a one time fee. You expect 24/7 support for a game that you threw two days of your lunch money toward?!? Do you wait for your lunches to be **** out and then get pissed off because they are no longer providing you with anything?

I get pissed off because it's a pattern of behavior from Mojang. They have proven that they don't give a crap about quality of service since this happens very often and there is no signs of changing thier broken system to prevent it from happening again. They don't upgrade thier servers to be able to handle the traffic load that they know is going to happen because they know how many people have bought the game. If they would either setup a redundancy server system to take care of this it wouldn't happen again, or at the very least have someone on call 24/7 to be able to take care of these things like most professional IT departments do. I know they can afford to pay someone to carry around a pager with them to get updates on what needs to be fixed. It's just unprofessional and it's going to keep happening over and over again even though it doesn't need to.

People's that would like to hack is also what people play for, seeming as you can login from any account you want through a cracked server since it doesn't require you to authudicate to Minecraft.net allowing you to use any account. You could simply login to the admins account and Greif. But there are also new authudicate plugins that allow you to need to make a password for the account which will stop you from using anyone's account that has already logged onto the server. Just I case you happen to run a server check out a plugin called "AuthMe" I take no credit in making this plugin at all.
