Okay, so long story short I recently installed Windows 8 Release preview because Windows 7 went corrupt on my laptop. Wanting to play Minecraft on the machine again (it worked flawlessly before) I went ahead and installed the drivers for INTEL HD because people recommended it to fix the bad driver error.
Here's where it gets weird. When I open my laptop with the new driver, I can't adjust the display brightness. It's stuck at whichever one I install the driver with. And living in the oddly lit house I do, well, it just won't work.
Does anybody have a fix for the laptop brightness on Intel HD 3000/4000? Gracias.
