Also, some virus scanners (AVG) and firewalls can block the sound files from downloading.
In AVG I believe it's the link scanner, so you can disable that portion of AVG temporarily to allow the sound files to download.
In the ZoneAlarm fire wall I had to lower the system security level 1 notch below the default level. (I don't have it installed right now, so don't remember the names of the settings)
Other anti-virus and firewalls could cause problems also, you may need to disable them temporarily the first time you play the games, to allow the sounds to download.
Or in the bottom right corner where the sound notification icon is, Right Click it and hit Volume Mixer.
Make sure theres no red cross out sign over the microphone over the farthest left item and over minecraft [when running]. I've had it running in the background once and my wheel scroll turned the volume down and up in game lol.
