for some reason minecraft keeps on running out of memory and my hard drive is way big enough for it. what happens is that the game starts lagging like crazy out of nowhere and becomes unplayable, eventually it just says the servers ran out of memory and had to stop the game
ok i am having the same problem as you. what i did is go to java through the control panal and when java opens up click on the tab labeled java. when in tha tab java click on runtime parameters and enter -Xmx2048 for 2 gb of memory. However i have found this only makes it less laggy. for me this has not stopped crashing the game. if anyone who reads this knows another solution please post it. i have tracked how ong it takes for a crash of minecraft and currently it takes 3:11 sec to crash regardless of me doing anything or standing still. is this a video card error. i have intel on a laptop. thanks. and the origional fix i said should work for most computers unless it is really bad like mine.
i have 3 gb of ram so i dont think that is a problem too. i did a test also and minecraft shuts off when it reaches 20% of the ram capacity. would there be any way to change this. this also explains why it shut down at 3:11 every time
so i goty some information and my friend told me i have to change the alocated rams so that it works for minecraft but now im stuck on changing a .txt to a .bat file and all i found on the internet confused me
