Everytime I go into the Nether now and walk through it, the game freezes every 10-15 steps. Minecraft doesnt become unresponsive badly, but the screen just freezes. Is anyone else experiencing this? It has never happened to me before. And no one dare tell me its probably my computer, cause im sure as **** its not.
I get this on some seeds. In my case, it's because the game is loading new chunks and having to simulate more lava fall paths, which is really hard for some reason. Also, how much RAM have you allocated to the game?

I put this ****er at high priority each time i run it and about 1250 mb ram usage i put mine to. I truely dont understand why it does it only in the nether. Unless its some odd bug in the new update... I have a 2010 model computer. this shouldnt happen
Woawoawoawoawoawoa WOAH. Do you not realise what that means? To your computer that means that [minecraft.exe is more important than most programs, allocate more CPU to minecraft.exe]. CPU is different to RAM. I'm not saying more CPU will slow Minecraft down, it's just other, more important programs might not get the desired CPU and so your computer might crash. This may be your problem. Try the Nether WITHOUT setting Minecraft to a higher priority.
My computer has 12 gigs of ram and i dont run much else on it. There is no problem in that area for me. I can put my java and all up to 4-6 gigs and it will be fine. I dont see why your getting excited there unless you dont know what you are talking about. 2 gigs for minecraft is plenty
I get around 75-125fps in the overworld, but it's really, really bad in the Nether. On the latest snapshot it was just horrific. I don't think there's anything you can do about it. If I think back, it used to be quite smooth.
Yeah about. And i dont think its the frames. Im not sure it is. it just freezes for a moment. I do think myself it has to do with one of the updates, because this hasnt always happened
You said you put it on high priority. The priority isn't how much RAM allocated to said program, it is how much CPU is allocated. If too much CPU is dedicated to a program, your Processing Unit itself wont be able to run. You obviously just tl;dr'd.
It doesnt cause any problems. It always goes back to normal when I restart my system. It is now at normal and the nether still freezes up. Not like i have the thing on realtime. And I already said how much ram i allowed the program. My processing unit runs just fine and all along with it running on high priority. You obviously need some lessons on computers. I recommend college classes
Same thing happens to me. I get ~70 FPS with an HD texture pack on normal render distance in the overworld, but whenever a new chunk in the nether loads, the game freezes for a bit.
I even tried using the default texture pack and short render distance, but it still freezes. If I go in a direction I've already gone it's fine. It's most likely all the lava, and the fact that in the nether it has to load a ceiling as well.
The game also runs smooth when loading new chunks in the overworld
You herpin' and-a derpin'. I was just saying about CPU priorities. You didn't say about the RAM in what I replied to. Now for some things that might actually help your problem;
Do you have the right PC specs?
Do you use have any mods that may lag your PC?
Is your Java corrupt? (if so, reinstall it)
Is your Minecraft.jar corrupt? (if so, again, reinstall it)
Ive tested and adressed all these problems. I backed up my jar file i use with optfine and downloaded a new one off the site. I redownloaded 64bit java and deleted my old one. I use magic launcher so my mods are not installed into my jar file (I used the regular minecraft launcher). I mean, i believe it has to do with an update now after going through everything...

Same here. But thing is why didnt it happen before. Im thinking its an update somewhere around 1.3.1 to recent
Well, surprisingly, I haven't gone into the Nether in 1.3.2 yet. So it might well be a bug. The only other thing I can think of is that... wait for it... you have a slow computer (insert trollface here).
I have a fast computer thank you very much. And if you havent been on 1.3.2 yet then I dont think you would be as much help here. sorry
I think it was in snapshot 34. Not sure. You can try this snapshot though. I'm not really sure.
Ohh yeah, It was in this snapshot i tried it. Because i saw the feature of a new mob variation and i went into the nether to find it. Yeah, the new snapshot doesnt fix it sadly... Maybe the next update

English dude. What language are you speaking there? And this whole topic is about the Nether. Why are you here then?
Is it a fix in the new snapshot that was just released?
