Hello guys im having a issue with minecraft as of today i have been receiving a total of 16-19fps when i used to be playing around 50-70 fps and my laptop specs are
CPU- AMD E-300 apu 1.3ghz duo core
GPU- Radeon 6310
Ram-2GB
my cpu doesnt over heat stays around 45-50C and idk what but when i go from far render to low render my fps still remains in 16-19fps. i never had this issue untill today, i have optifine install and i lowered all the settings and still keep a fps of 16-19. before i had 50-70, i have checked to see if any program is eating up my resources but there is none . my laptop is new as of last week and i update all drivers. i can run wow at low settings around 20-60fps. but now today my fps in minecraft is just a mere 16-19fps :/ can anyone here help me out please i know my laptop isnt the best but it was working fine yesterday and so on. just today minecraft decided to act up
Different worlds may generate different FPS depending on tree's, water, etc etc.
You may want to try a clean install [delete everything related to minecraft, sadly] and then run the minecraft launcher, and force update. Then install the Light Optifine mod. Otherwise you don't have a lot of other options as to what to do to improve performance. 2GB of ram, Far underclocked cpu and the integrated GPU is a joke. That isn't an attempt to insult you though, I'm just letting you know - the slightest thing between having it plugged in and charging or the microwave running in your house could kill/double the FPS. [All jokes].
On the serious note, Check out your power profiles on the laptop, try setting it to max performance/power and leaving it plugged in while you play. You may notice a difference, My old laptop FPS doubled - even on the max power battery profile I setup - as long as it was plugged in.
Some things that lower my FPS while playing Minecraft:
- Exploring a new World Seed for the first time (a brand new Extreme Hills-based Seed will undoubtedly drop my FPS like a rock)
- Exploring new Chunks in a previous Save File game and world (again, encountering a Plains won't do much to my FPS, but a hilly Taiga or Extreme Hills or Cavernous biomes will all drop my FPS)
- Getting suddenly crowded with mobs - even if they are invisible from where I am at (for example, if I am standing on top of a hill and there is a cavern beneath me and there are mobs spawning in there even though I can't see them)
- Aggroing a bunch of mobs at once
- Exploding Creepers
- Rain and Snow
- Playing on Minecraft for an extended period of time (let's say an hour or so)
Maximum power settings and being plugged in, disabling unnecessary background programs and utilities (note: do NOT do this if you do not know what you are doing as you might accidentally kill your machine), and making sure your game settings are tweaked down for performance will all possibly help your situation. For myself, changing my render distance to Small and disabling OpenGL and turning down my Particles to Minimal all improved my game's performance and FPS.
Also, check to see if you still have this problem with a completely vanilla install of Minecraft. Also, just in case you may not know about this, 1.3.X versions of Minecraft all run a server even in Singleplayer mode and this has caused Minecraft to be a bigger computer resource hog - especially for people who already are running Minecraft on minimal specs.
Thanks guys soo much but the computer was running it at 50-60fps all the time since i got it and ive been in my underground home all this time (dont ask why lol) ima just have to delete everything and reinstall. and yea my laptop is a joke lol but its all i can afford atm im thinking about upgrading to a ultrabook soon enough. but or now i just need minecraft to run so i can relax my head from life situations
Actualy guys i think i found out my issue . i restarted my computer and for some reason my fps went to 37-50 again must have been something on eating my resources .-. thanks alot for the replys guys and i will plant to get a new laptop

If you tend to leave Minecraft on for extended periods of time or if you Hibernate your computer a lot, sometimes you can experience lag-related issues because of that, too. So maybe for you, that's exactly what happened! Good to see the problem fixed!
