Okay, to start off I have seen many topics like mine but none have been able to give me a solution. I have done everything I know to do and nothing has worked. So here is the problem.
My brother and I both have Minecraft (our own accounts and computers) We are both connected to the same Wifi. I have connected via Lan before but not with him and not on this network. The problem that is occurring is that if I start a world, open it to Lan he cannot see it. If he opens his own server to Lan I can see it but I cannot join it, I will get the message " Connection Timed Out: connect". Open to any suggestions, willing to do some hard work to get this figured out.
Here is some info that I thought might help, I have used Hamachi, I still have it and use it sometimes(to play BloodyTrapland), It has recently been acting funky. Should I just get rid of it? Also, I have mods on my minecraft, although they have never stopped me from Hosting a Lan server before (with friend on his wifi)

Just asking for a little help here.
