So whenever i play minecraft the game randomly hangs then blacks out then recovers then it says something like, "display driver has stopped responding but has recovered successfully." I've tried re installing minecraft and updating to the latest java. If it helps, whenever I open minecraft the login looks like this -- http://imgur.com/146tv and im using the vaio s series. Hope you guys can help.

You're problem lies here. This should never happen, and the fact that it does is a problem in your display driver.
Why you thought updating minecraft or Java would help with a display driver issue.......
Sorry I don't really know much about computers, so I just tried doing the common game client fixes ) but anyways I just tried updating my display driver, and it still doesnt work. :\
