Minecraft crashes after I try to login.
I tried taking away my mods, and even re-downloaded and installed minecraft (getting rid of my old .minecraft folder), I made sure java was up to date, and ran the minecraft patcher, and it still wont work.

Please tell me what I'm doing wrong.

Try using 64/32 bit java (the opposite of what your using now, and try using Java 7.

I purged Java 6 and reinstalled Java 7, now it doesn't even launch

I've fixed my problem. I had an issue with my graphics driver. SizzlingTurtle, I don't know what's wrong with yours, but I hope you figure it out soon.
