Hello! I just downloaded Minecraft but am having less than an optimal experience. My framerate is rather low despite my adequate specs that run other games like SimCity just fine.

Windows 7 64-bit
8 GB RAM
Intel Core 2 Duo CPU @ 2GHz
Mobile Intel 4 Series Express Chipset Family, 1695 MB

I also adjusted the in-game video settings to low and closed all other programs, but the framerate is still rather jerky. Thanks for any help!

i'm having the same problem with my system. i'm running 1.2.5 (Don't wanna update cause of my mods) and it was working just perfectly, untill my old motherboard crapped out on me. my dad gave me another MB that was just one number better than my old one and a different processor too, and now MC lags constantly and also sometimes double places blocks down. here are my specs:
Windows XP SP3 32 bit
Processor: Intel Pentium D Dual Core 2.66ghz L2 Cache = 2048kb
RAM: 4gb
Video Card: Geforce 210 1GB DDR3
MotherBoard: Asus P5GC-MX/1333
HD Space= 4 300GB SATA Drives = 1.2TB space

hopefully that's enough info, I really hope someone can help. and like I said, the LAG happens all the time in game.
