Since the last patch I have been experiencing random crashing in minecraft. The game completely freezes along with my machine (no alt+f4 or alt+tab) requiring a hard reset. It will happen anywhere from 3 minutes after launching the game to a couple of hours and it seems to happen most frequently when I am interacting with a block (mining stone, crafting, etc.)
I have tried removing all minecraft related files along with uninstalling and reinstalling Java. I am running 64 bit java only on my 64 bit version of windows 7 pro.
Any ideas or suggestions would be greatly appreciated, my machine is a couple of years old, but I am not getting this freezing in any other games or applications, and it has only been happening since the recent game update.
Thanks
