I've had this for a few months now and I just about have had it. A friend bought me Minecraft some time ago for building on his server and I could connect to any non-whitelisted server from that moment onwards.
After a few weeks of Premium, my Minecraft started acting up. I get error messages when I try to login to Premium servers, but I can join cracked ones in no time at all. This is what I keep receiving:
Connection Lost
Internal exception: java.net.SocketTimeoutException: Read timed out
And I also tend to get several hundred "End of stream" messages. Please help, it's driving me crazy. YouTube didn't help, cause all it had about the problem was a Windows solution, and I'm on a Mac.
Don't tell me to get a different computer. It'll just tick me off more. Any solution would be great.

While I cannot provide one sure answer that will work I would first try making sure your java is up to date and you have the right version. I only know a bit about macs so I can't help you much on that term. If all else fails try contacting mojang support at help.mojang.com Sorry I could not have been more help then this.

Check to see if your firewall is blocking minecraft. This is the only thing I can think of at this point. If it doesn't work, I'll try to think of something else...
