When I go to play minecraft, everything's fine until I get into the world. The world renders fine and everything, but when I go to look around, the mouse goes crazy. Either I look all the way up or all the way down, and my person spins and spins and spins until I stop moving my mouse. It gets even worse when I try to move around. I tried googling for the problem, but I haven't had any luck. It's the latest version of minecraft (1.3.2, as of this post), and I've tried downloading and redownloading everything in .minecraft/bin. Three times.
I'm on windows 7 64bit and I'm pretty sure my java runtime environment is 64bit, as well.
I'm pretty sure that your mouse sensitivity is at max.
You can change this in the settings menu. hope this helped
No, it is not in fact the sensitivity. Especially since I tried changing it multiple times to see what would happen, and it was the exact same thing; except it took a little more time to look to my left and right.
The only other thing I could think of is you could try completely reinstalling minecraft
Even my first post said that I had done this, but I tried it anyway. I completely removed the %APPDATA%/.minecraft folder and re-downloaded the minecraft executable, and I still run into the same problem.
There is an option to update your mouse driver. Right click My Computer and go to properties. On the top left click on Device Manager and find your mouse device. Right click, then properties, click on the driver tab and finally update driver.
I know where it is, I just forgot to elevate my permissions so I can update the drivers. Either way, windows "has determined that the drivers are up-to-date."
Does it only happen in Minecraft or in all java applications? See what happens when you play Minecraft in browser and also, try playing a different game that uses java. At least we'll know that java itself is or isn't causing the problem.
I'm able to get in world in the browser, but then it pauses and won't unpause. If you could point to a game that uses java that'd be really helpful.
Considering the post above you, you have great timing. It's actually quite odd that you have just created an account, went to the support forum first thing and posted here as your very first post... *suspicious face*, but I have no reason to suspect you I guess.
Can you read? My profile clearly states my account was created in May. I guess I did that just recently though. So what if my post is similar to the previous post? At least redjazz96 can see two people had similar issues and both solved them in the same way. Why don't you try posting something helpful, instead of being a troll?
Does it happen with other games? DirectX games even? (pretty much all 3D games are DirectX)
Go to "Control Panel\Ease of Access\Make the mouse easier to use" and select "mouse settings" at the bottom of the Window, then scroll over to hardware and make sure all of those drivers (there can be multiple drivers, in my case 2) are up to date, while you are there, you may as well check you have no unusual settings checked.
I'm able to play Team Fortress 2 fairly well, and I believe that runs off of DirectX. Nothing seems wrong with my mouse, except for a custom loading animation that I put in there myself.
Success, I caught the culprit. Not 100% sure what the cause is, but it appears the latest build of synergy was responsible for messing up mouse moment in the game. Disabling it fixes the issue for me.
I suspect it may be an issue with the newer builds though as in the past I've run synergy and played minecraft without any issues o.o
Either we have really closely built computers (x64, AMD FX-6120) or something
It turns out it was synergy (or something else) because I ran minecraft and I was able to do what I wanted to. What?

There doesn't even seem to be an update option for the mouse drivers. I really have no clue why it's doing this.

No, I don't have a graphics tablet connected to my computer.
I updated LWJGL, but it did nothing for me- and I don't exactly have the ability to change my mouse.
Also, this is my most popular thread on these forums!
I used another mouse and I still got the same problem.
