Weird... try re-downloading the minecraft.exe file. If that doesn't work, see if you can play in browser.
Won't let me play in browser and I uninstalled and reinstalled the minecraft.exe 3 times. The file won't even create a new folder. I backed it up and deleted the .minecraft file, it won't come back.
Additional Info: I've updated to the latest Java. I've also uninstalled/reinstalled.

No idea what this means... but...
I restored my computer yesterday to August 31st. It's fixed! Not quite sure what happened to my Minecraft though.
