So, my friend was over and we were playing over LAN.
At one point he found himself having disconnected which kicked me from the game also.
We started it up again right away, and, instead of spawning me back at the last place I was before being kicked I spawn in what I assume is the void. (Endless blackness with sort of swirly/sparkles)
I would for awhile until losing connection.
We tried using commands to kill me or teleport me back to my friend, but neither worked. I would appear to be standing in my base on his screen, but still be falling through the void on my screen.
This also happened once before on another server under the same circumstances. (him disconnecting, kicking me, and then both of us reconnecting.
We had gotten quite a lot of nice stuff and spent a couple hours mining in this world.
How can I fix this and get back into the game?

It's loading just fine for my friend, and he's the one on the laptop.
And it had no trouble connecting before that, I think it just had trouble saving everything when he nixed the server.
Is there a way I can make it spawn me at the original spawn point rather than wherever it thinks I last was?
I know it's strange to bump this so much later, but the same problem happened again and the solution from last time isn't working.
We were much farther from the spawn so that might be something, but everytime I rejoin I'm falling in the void and completely removed from the game.
