Okay, so I just bought Minecraft and then I tried to download it. However when I go to open the file, it reports as broken. So how can I troubleshoot this and actually play? I tried playing it on the browser, however it comes up as a crash error. I'm not entirely certain what to do. I downloaded the latest Java, but other than that I am not sure at all what I'm doing wrong. I'm not exactly computer savvy either...
Please help?

windoge 8 has the saddest excuse for a BSOD, it just tells you the type of error, no stop code, no nothing, just "something went wrong, all your unsaved work has now been lost to the void that is volatile memory"
So I just copy and paste here? Because I received two errors. One from the download and another from the browser.
Here is the browser error:

I am, that's the thing. It's my personal computer. For some reason I can download Java 6, but it won't show up on the list of Java versions on my computer.
Okay, finally got it to open on my computer, but now it's crashing in game. Is this the same error or is this something new?

Okay, after some messing around I finally got MineCraft to work. Now the only real issue is it randomly going to a brick screen when I exit out of my inventory while in one of my worlds, but I think I can avoid that.
Thank you for your help!
I downloaded the Minecraft client for Mac OS X ( I run Mountain Lion). when I tried to open the file I get a message saying the file is damaged Move it to the trash. I have emailed support three days ago and have heard nothing in return.
