OK, not sure if this is due to the OptiFine mod, or 1.3.2 itself. I posted over on the OptiFine thread, but there's so much traffic there, questions get lost.
I have a minecart glitch. Previously, when approaching a railed cart, you would "bump" into it, which would set it in motion, allowing you time to jump in. Now I walk THROUGH the cart, then it shoots away faster than normal, usually too fast to jump in.
Likewise, when I swat the cart to exit, the minimized cart sprite appears a few blocks away, and my character appears a few blocks in the other direction. Previously you'd "land" right were you were, with the minecart itself so close, it would pop into your inventory.
Finally, when riding a cart, it's not maintaining the rider's orientation. Going around a curve, for example, and your point of view does not turn with the cart. Then a little later, the view will snap back to "forwards" on its own, even during straightaways.
Yeah I think you are seeing this from the client thread / world thread changes in 1.3.2
I don't experience these symptoms myself, except I do see the cart pushing to a small degree. ( I can hop in but the timing is tricky)
anything that you can do to free up 1 core for the client and 1 core for the world will help to minimize these behaviors.
If you only have a dual core machine, then you might want to check on your Optifine configuration (it can have some thread demands of its own).

So it may be a combination MC 1.3 + Optifine problem?
It's not terrible, but I have a "dismounted" the railcart a few times, while riding an elevated track, and instead of landing behind the car, I land to the side... which means falling to my death.
I've learned to live with it for now. Like you said, the timing is tricky, but I seem to have the habit down now. It's just not as easy as before.

The only mod I am using is OptiFine.
Anyone experience this?
