My daughter and I have been playing on a new 1.3.2 world for a week now. Today I cannot connect to the LAN world at all. I checked firewalls, IP address even direct connect. Nothing. I have no clue why its not working now?? Any ideas. We are right next to each other both have Dells, and have been playing with NO problems for a week. Im clueless.

the MC Open to LAN feature has a not very great method of choosing the IP address that it will use.
I'm going to guess that something changed on the hosting machine that triggered this.
It could be adding, removing, enabling or disabling an interface or a connection.
Installing a virtual machine application (vmware, virtualbox), a VPN client, or hamachi.. something like that.
and as a result of that change it is choosing a different IP address, one that won't work.
Thanks everyone for the help! I figured it out, it was windows firewall that was blocking it. Something must have changed the settings, no clue what but its all good now. I appreciate the answers , this is by far the best place to come wiith any questions or problems.
