So, minecraft has always been a little slow for me, never had the mind to measure fps, but now, since the 1.3 update, I'm getting around 10. I've force updated, tried optifine, updated java and always have my settings set to the lowest possible. even prior to 1.3 I had to keep things on the low side. I'm wondering if there is a way to help fix the laggyness that I have overlooked or just plain don't know about. I'll admit, with computers I'm not overly literate, so just a warning on that front. Here are the specs of my laptop, if I need to add anything just let me know.
Intel(R) Core(TM) i3 CPU M 330 @ 2.13GHz
3.9 GB RAM
Microsoft Windows 7 Home Premium Edition (build 7600), 64-bit
Intel(R) HD Graphics
Realtek High Definition Audio
271.2 GB Free Disk space
Intel HD Graphics are one of the worst video cards in the universe. You can try turning off advanced OpenGL in the Minecraft options or you can update your video card driver. http://downloadcenter.intel.com/
That's... wonderful to know XD but sieriously, thanks for the response. I already have OpenGL off and upon attempting to update I went ahead with the check for updates and it came up with this message.
"A customized computer manufacturer driver is installed on your computer. The Intel Driver Update Utility is not able to update the driver. Installing a generic Intel driver instead of the customized computer manufacturer driver may cause technical issues. Contact your computer manufacturer for the latest driver for your computer."
Sadly this is where my ability in computers goes down the tubes. No idea what to do next.
