Hey everyone i'm kinda new with minecraft and i need some help. I over modded my minecraft and now it won't let me update for a blank one and none of the download links i can find work for me. so i was hoping some of you could post you .minecraft folders so i can get it working? either unmodded or modded is fine.
I think you may have deleted the .minecraft folder yourself. Check if it's in the recycle bin and if it's there just move it back to were it was.
If it's not there run Minecraft. In the launcher click on options and press force update.
I just checked that wasn't it. when i tried to force update it said fatal error. it wouldn't work when i removed my minecraft folder either.
no thats not it when i force update it says fatal error and it won't let me delete the folder. I just want someone elses folder to replace the contents with
Go to Computer> Local Disk> Users> Your Computer Name (mine is anoori9000 for example)> AppData> Roaming and the .minecraft should be the first thing. Open it then go to the saves folder, and drag all of them to your desk top. then go back twice. Delete .minecraft form your computer by holding shift right click on .minecraft and click on delete. then run minecraft it should repack everything. go back to your where your .minecraft folder and open the saves folder and drag all your world files on your desktop to your saves folder. Now all mods are gone and it should be fine. Message me if anyone has questions.
He probably wants to pirate the game, End of story.
EDIT: If he's not, try re-downloading the launcher and deleting .minecraft.Also its against the law to post links to Mojang's code (aka .minecraft folder)
