I downloaded the aether mod, everything was fine. I replaced the aether minecraft.jar with the regular minecraft.jar, and deleted everything to make the mod to work. I don't like the mod, since i cant go to multiplayer and it is SO laggy. I always play on multiplayer. Thankfully, my father has his own account and minecraft was downloaded on it. I'm safe, but minecraft is dead on my account. Just warning you, The aether is VERY laggy and you can't get to multiplayer.

really were you using the 1.2.5 version i found it much more responsive than previous versions I used the stuff linked in this vid
I agree that it is somewhat laggy, but to fix your Minecraft file just open Minecraft, and before clicking 'Login', go to 'Options' and click 'Force Update'. Then log in and that should fix everything. But yes, MC is file based and you should be able to use your account on your dad's computer.
