Ok, I know this is a repost, but the other forum died out and none of the solutions worked. What happens is when im walking, jumping, or sneaking and I break or place a block or hit a mob, the movement gets "stuck" on that key. I know this is Minecraft's problem because I tried diff keyboards and this only happens on mc. I tried java 6, but maybe im doing it wrong?
Specs: Windows XP service pack 3; 32 bitOh, and thanks in advance to all replies :). This glitch also started once I updated MC to 1.2 or when I updated Java. I dont remember.
I had this same problem and spent quite a bit of time trying to solve it. Here's what I did that seems to have fixed it:
Removed minecraft (after backing up my 'saves' folder')
Removed all versions of Java from my computer (including Javafx)
Rebooted
Reinstalled only Java 7 (or latest version) from Java.com
Check it for updates (there were none)
Reinstalled Minecraft
Installed the latest lwjgl
Rebooted
The key here I think is that lots of people especially with XP seem to have older versions of Java installed along with their newer version. You have to make sure you remove them from 'Add/Remove Programs'. It seems to still happen a little if your minecraft client is being laggy but it's pretty much fixed.
Sorry for posting in an old topic but I figured this info could be helpful for people searching for a solution!
