I paid for the game, downloaded the application, clicked the icon. My computer lagged severely and my mouse had a long delay and then everything went back to normal and no Minecraft.
I tried playing the game through my browser but is not ideal.
Yes I have the most recent version of Java.
Any thoughts? PC stats are below.
Windows 7 64-bit
8 GBS DDR 3 RAM
i5-2500k 3.6 GHz
Nvidia GeForce GTX 550 Ti
I have no antivirus and my firewall has been disabled. It's not a networking issue. It's a software issue. Basically the program will not even launch.
If there was lag and a long delay when you attempt to run Minecraft, the program is trying to launch, but something on your system is preventing that from happening. Hence why I suggested the Firewall and Virus Scanner, they are fairly common culprits. If you don't have a Virus scanner, I would start to question if it isn't a virus on your system stopping it.
I'd recommend Avast as a great free virus scanning software. www.avast.com

Retired StaffTry disabling them temporarily, then try running Minecraft again.
If it starts with them disabled then you know you need to adjust the settings in the firewall/virus scanner in order to get MC to run.
