Everything checks out well. But, the biggest problem with running video games, is the graphics card. Especially with games like Minecraft, because they are dependent of Video RAM. Plus, to run video games that are very resource demanding, a video card helps A LOT. And it allows you to run better graphics more smoothly.
Yeah, that graphics card is really... Not so great. You should get a better one, is your computer can fit it in. I recommend a Nvidia GeForce GT560. Anything more powerful is a bit too extreme, and not really worth the money, unless you are a professional gamer, who plays very high graphics games, like crisis 2. If your computer cant fit it, then maybe try to add a bit more faster ram units. I'd recomend DDR3 RAM units. Very fast and cheap. Like 2GB for $100.
He is clearly using a laptop, so he's not going to be able to upgrade his graphics card.
Honestly, the 525M should be fine for this game. I've been experiencing massive stutter in 1.3.2 and I'm running a 4.0 GHz quad core i7 with 12 GB RAM and a GTX 680.
Game used to run flawlessly back when I played regularly (just after 1.0 release I think) but performance has tanked in these recent releases.

First of all, some laptops have enough space for added RAM, or a bigger Graphics card. My Alienware laptop has an upgraded GC, and 16gb of RAM. I know this from personal experience. Another problem with his computer maybe his processor. Maybe it's not allocating enough RAM to java.exe?
