Hi all. New to minecraft and I've been trying to get it running on my linux machine with no luck so far.

Here's some basic specs:

model: HP 8460p
cpu: Intel core i5
graphics: Intel
linux distro: Archlinux 2012.08.04 Kernel: 3.4.7
Java version: openJDK6 (have tried openJDK7 as well)


I can get minecraft to run but it freezes at "Done Loading" every time. I've tried:

1)deleting ~/.minecraft/bin and force update on start

2)deleting the entire ~/.minecraft director and force updating next start

3)deleting everything and re-downloading start fresh

4)downgrading to openjdk6

Nothing has helped and I don't seem to be getting any errors (unless I'm looking in the wrong place).

Demo. Didn't want to buy it without getting it running first.

It could easily be that I'm missing some errors. I get none in the terminal.
