It's not a game issue... It's a MineCraft.net server... my account is migrated; however my brothers is not. He can get on my server but I can not. So is your account migrated?
I think we are on to something... I migrated the day that the security flaw was announced. You know the one where they could use an "Offline Name" to login as any migrated user. Now only we can't log in. This really does suck!
Glad to know it's not just me, I have two accounts, one Migrated and one not. Migrated one can't login.
And I get the same thing on Mojang.com trying to login through there.

Ugh minecraft ALWAYS has problems doesn't it D: why!!! do you think that changing back to non migrated would work? well idk how to do that so thats no help
I'm getting the same problem and I am very relieved that other people are too, for the record my account is migrated, I think it is something to do with the mojang.com login, as someone above said we are all getting this error code.
To the people who have migrated their account and think that they won't ever be able to play again:
It is a problem in the migrated servers. mollstam is working on it, so just give him some time. This happens often.
Yeas, the mojang servers are down, you can only log in with the browser version or if your account isn't migrated. Also maybe if you have 1.3.1 like me.
There is no need to react like this, they are working on fixing it, it happens with the login servers all the time. The migrated accounts are much safer than the non migrated.
me too i have migrated and now i cant get in to any server what so ever except a cracked one like we are out of the system or something and ive had the Oops, an error occurred thing pop up i hope they fix or i want my money back
Account has been migrated for a while. Was okay yesterday but today no multiplayer servers work, all returning with "Bad Login" errors.
My minecraft IS genuine, I just changed my password in case someone hacked my account and was using it, and well... I have no idea why this is happening. I just wanted to play minecraft.
Any suggestions on a fix? Just wait until tomorrow to see if it's been fixed?
I know my IP isn't static so maybe it changed and maybe that's messing with it? Probably not but it's the only clue I have.
Looks like me and the wife are BOTH having problems. Also both of our accounts are migrated.....was working on minecraft.net but not anymore. All we get is "Failed to login: Bad login". Just wanna play on our server.....kuso! ><
Would be nice if they had a legitimate help system, as in a call center or something. I mean, with so many players these days....sheesh.
also having this problem. i migrated today and ever since i couldn't login to servers. but i can when i play in browser. i force updated and still cant get on.

"Failed to login: Bad login" is a result of another user logging in as your username. This is why it happens for all of your servers. You can test this by opening two minecraft windows and going on a server as you then going on the same server as yourself in the other window. Doing so will kick the player already on, off.

This happens because another user is logged in with your username. if you dont believe me then you can test it by opening two windows and logging in to a server and doing the same on the other server.
This can be resolved my waiting a while (im not sure how long exactly) and logging in to a server, kicking the other user out and giving them this message.
this can also just happen when your sendy outy thingy on your wifi/router gets confused and sends the same info twice making minecraft believe that the same username is logged in twice. This is the same effect that happens if you have playstation(R) network and log in with the same online id.
I tried to install a mod using youtube and it envolved deleting mineraft and regetting it well the mod didnt work and now when i go on multiplayer and i go on a server it just says=failed to login bad login error can anyone help? please?
wait do you mean migrated meaning you are playing minecraft on a different computer if so i am playing on the same computer i made my account on except my computer is now in my basement instead of upstair if you hit download now and play on the server from the thing it pops up to play the game it will not come up with the bad login thing

We have 2 Linux computers, but their dad (who knows Linux) won't help them install the game directly onto the computers, so they have to play through a browser. So we don't have an %appdata% file as someone talked about a page or two ago.

Neither can I say I know how to fix this. A few people on youtube have suggested that changing their password would help. people also say that a person has logged into their account and gone on the server. But I can't say this is true. For now there has been no cure for this. Dissapointing!
