For the past two days when I try to run Minecraft on multiplayer and it goes black for almost a minute and then it shows a bit of land that looks like this:
It doesn't seem to be loading, although when I stand on the edge some does appear to come back however I am disconnected with an internal exception: java.net.SocketTimeoutException: Read timed out.
This keeps appearing, and I have tried disconnecting then re-entering a few times but it didn't work.
If I place dirt, for example, when I dig it away blocks aren't appearing and I am unable to pick them up.
Also, there had seemed to be a skeleton that spawned while this was going on. It didn't move or attack and when I tried hitting it nothing happened.
I use a mac by the way. I've never really encountered this problem before. Help would be much appreciated.
