Hi. I have tried several times downloading and redownloading Minecraft and every single time I double click the icon on my desktop to start the game nothing happens. Can someone please help me?

I tried doing that and it doesnt work. the problem pretty much is that when I click "run" it doesnt even come up with the minecraft window to log in and start playing the game.So also when i click "run", nothing happens.

i did that error thing because i have similar issues.. the game loads up the client fine, but after i login and try and play it prompts me to update.. if i press either button the client loads a bit, then freezes... so idk whats wrong

First I need some sort of error log to see what is wrong.

And of course post back the results of it

idk what you mean by link scanner... i wasnt aware i had one..
i reinstalled java 64 bit, idk if i need 32 bit installed to?
