I'm hosting a small Hamachi server on minecraft, and whenever I log into the server, my game either instantly crashes, or in game, it will just freeze and quit unexpectedly. I have gotten rid of the bin folder and redownloaded it, I have the most up to date version of Java, I've restarted my server, I've restarted my computer, I've even just redownloaded minecraft. and NOTHING has changed. I still crash. I can't really tell you what the crash message says either since it seems to be a bunch of text showing the coordinates of every entity I think. I am running on Lion on Mac OS X. Does anyone know what the problem could be? I don't want to hear about a Mac being a bad computer, because that won't help me.
I used to run a server on a mac through hamachi...if logging in through localhost doesn't work than your server is having the problem and hamachi is working and thats one less problem to look through!
After that you could try to redownloading (sounds like you did...) or going through the crash log. Crash log would be your best bet. Just posting it helps people that know what to look for help you out.

I have pretty much the same problem, but it sounds like you get a crash report, and on my Mac it just closes the whole window and says "Minecraft quit unexpectedly". I have no mods, and most up to date version of Minecraft. Since no crash report I don't know what happened. The server I'm going on uses ClanForge instead.

Oh no, my minecraft just freezes and quits and says "minecraft quit unexpectedly" just like yours. I don't know what the problem is, but it seems to be somewhat fixed now, except for a few "minecraft quit unexpectedly" here and there occasionally
