Recently, I've decided to create a multiplayer server for me and my friends. We played in it for 2 days and never experienced any crash or something (even with Skype and Google Chrome opened).
However, yesterday, while playing minecraft (Skype and GC opened), I experienced a Blue Screen of Death. This is the first time it happened to me and I don't know how it could have happened, because all I was doing is to place some blocks on the grounds (no explosions or something that could have made Minecraft bug.)
I just rebooted the computer and thought that everything would be alright. However, each time that I try to open Minecraft, here's what happen.
1. Double-click Minecraft icon. No problem.
2. Minecraft opens, no crash, no bug. No problem.
3. Enter ID and password, press connect. No problem.
4. HERE'S THE PROBLEM. When I press connect, the minecraft window goes black (before mojang screen) and the computer crashes (im only able to move my mouse). When I click with my mouse, the pc make a little "boop" sound and the whole computer is crashed. (It does the same thing with the web browser minecraft).
I tried to reinstall minecraft and java and it still doesnt work.
THIS ISNT AN OVERHEATING PROBLEM
Please help me! It never happened to me before, I can't even go to the Mojang loading screen, only the connection screen works.
By the way, I don't know how, but when the whole computer crash (even the mouse), all I do is to roll the mouse wheel and the computer decrashes and minecraft opens... Each time, it lasts 10 seconds before it becomes normal, but at least I can play!

Retired StaffIf you are on Win 7. I'd start by running the memory test.

After that, you may consider dropping in the windows CD, and trying to repair windows.
