So my friend just told me about Minecraft a few days ago so i tried to play the Demo but when i do it just says "Updating Minecraft...... Done loading" and it just stays there. they told me to get the newest version of Java but i already had it, then i uninstalled it and reinstalled both Java and Minecraft but nothing seems to work. can anyone help me with this problem?

i have this same problem, ive tried the same things.. the client is just frozen.. ive pressed yes and no, does the same thing

Try excluding minecraft from your antivirus or firewall. That may be what blocks it.

As said by Sko, this is an issue with the demo. Try the fix as he said above.
