I have an issue I just ran into tonight after redecorating my home. I took out a few bookshelves that were around my enchanting table now that only 15, instead of 30, are required. I make a lot of changes to my house, moved items, added pictures ect....
When I was finished I went to my enchanting table and found this problem
This is a clean game. v1.3.2
No mods, no cheats enabled
Just have 1 texture pack (john smith) with most current MCpatcher, however problem occurs with default textures as you can see in the screenshot.
You can see that the table has worked before by the 5 enchanted tools in my hotbar. This problem has started just today.
Any help or direction for help would be greatly appreciated.

I have the exact same problem, 1.2.5 SMP. I know it's not 1.3.2 nor SSP but regardless ...
And I am trying it with fresh/undamaged items.
The book in the Enchanting UI won't open, enchanting text won't appear.
I've removed/re-placed the block; no change.
I even made a second table! No change.
I AM NOT YOUR PERSONAL MINECRAFT MOD SUPPORT AGENT, SO PLEASE DO NOT PM ME ABOUT PROBLEMATIC MODS THAT ARE NOT MINE. If you're having trouble/crashes with a mod, you'll have better luck resolving it in this forum section than PMing me. If you already made a topic, be patient about responses. If you have troubles with anything non-Minecraft related on your PC, I might be able to help, though, but no promises. Even though I could wish to be, I'm not a wizard.
