Apparently, when I start up Minecraft 1.3.1 Then shut it down, it doesn't really shut off. I have multiple minecraft.jar's for different mods/versions ect. But when i try to switch then by renaming or moving then it says that minecraft is still running. So being really confused by that message I checked Task Manager, When I see minecraft I'm like "OK.... this is weird" especially because it wasn't using any CPU (when i play it consumes a LOT of CPU if anyone and tell me how to reduce that too it would be helpful) I'm not sure if this is a computer error or if anyone else has gotten this and hasn't noticed but any support will be VERY helpful.
Edit: When it turns off it still uses virtual Memory
I don't think I have Process Explorer Is there anything else i can use? I use Windows XP
try getting process explorer? it doesn't come as an internal package

windoge 8 has the saddest excuse for a BSOD, it just tells you the type of error, no stop code, no nothing, just "something went wrong, all your unsaved work has now been lost to the void that is volatile memory"
I looked at it and I'm really confused I'm not sure what i should be looking for, and i tried to kill the process and the tree but it didn't do anything i also tried restarting and suspending but it also didn't work :/
I tried uninstalling java and reinstalling it but that didn't seem to work, but I think java thinks that Minecraft is still on even when I close it, Also another thing to note if I stay on a server for too long or, actually minecraft the servers will not show up. Maybe this has to do with the new LAN server thing? I have no idea please if you got any ideas I'm welcome to any, I really want to fix this.
I haved used both the X button and "Quit Game" button to shut it off but it makes no diffrence Im not sure if this is a java problem or if its my computer which i want to know
