There has been an absence of texture support for the Written Book/Book and Quill on Macintosh computers since the creation of the items in the weekly snapshots, and this issue still has not been fixed. A large white rectangle with the word "missing" written on it appears every time i use one. I am using the default textures and have checked to see if the texture is present in minecraft.jar, and it is. It doesn't work with third party texture packs either. I have tried redownloading the .jar, among other common troubleshooting methods. Does anybody know a fix for this issue? If not, why is it occuring? Thanks for your time.

Book and Quill has no vanilla textures?!
