Minecraft won't install

Every time I start up minecraft.exe (Downloaded from Minecraft.net) it tries to install but in the first few seconds it freezes. I can't install the game, and it doesn't work when I try to play through browser, it does the same thing. Help?

Did you recently install a mod, or have you just bought Minecraft? I've noticed that if you install mods wrong, the game doesn't work.

Well, I had it deleted and then tried to reinstall it. I'm gonna try theFriedZombie's idea.
