Hey my friend, Ive been having alot of issues with MC lately... First of all... I have a gateway m275 running on XP... My videocard isnt very old..but it used to run minecraft, but then one day, it decided to stop working... Now, i have a couple mods that didnt harm it when it ran...ive tried everything deleting java and the re installing... ive updated my video card driver and tried running it on all resolutions, so i rolled back the driver and got it to work ONCE... but never again... it gives me a black screen then after a while, it says bad video card driver every time and its starting to tick me off...ive tried to delete .minecraft and re downloaded it...no work..tried forse update...STILL no work.. heres the error report ::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::
Bad video card drivers!
-----------------------
Minecraft was unable to start because it failed to find an accelerated OpenGL mode.
This can usually be fixed by updating the video card drivers.

Help me???
Exactly what it says bud, need to update your video card drivers. There's not much to fix that.
Very nice support topic you have here. I just want to express my appreciation (i used to do stuff like this) and say that i fully support this topic.
Thank you very much buddy, if you feel the need to put feedback positive or negative please leave it on my profile. Good to know you support my well-doings here, oddly enough it actually puts a smile on my face to see replies like this.
I don't know usually I'd say force update, but you're trying to play on a snapshot. I've played snapshot 12w25a and I've become really laggy so I got rid of it. But I can't really help you. Try this: Go back to 1.2.5 and on the downloaded minecraft.exe hit force update anyways. It will just reload everything again. Then try uploading the snapshot. If not try reinstalling Java.
That didn't help at all, I tried everything. Does anyone have any solutions??? My friend is having the same issue on his mac.

no no it worked on the old graphics driver, and ive updated the driver to the most recent, tried everything but still didnt work... so i rolled back the driver and got it to run once. i think its a java problem and ive re-installed java about 5 times. come on, man ive tried everything... isnt there a place to enter the error code???
I am trying to log into minecraft. I keep getting the Log in failed message. I reset my modem, my internet connection seems fine. I don't understand why I can't log in. I can play in off line mode, but I want to play online to use a skin I created.

Try the downloaded client, and hit force update under options then login. Also try turning off your router for a good 30-35 seconds then turning it back on and connecting back to the internet.

Tried resetting my router, Even redownloaded the client. I'll try forcing an update though.Tried forcing an update. Nothing happened when I clicked force update. Box lit up that said done, even though nothing ever happened.
I don't know man, it could be your internet or the server your trying to connect to though.
He's stuck in the launcher. I believe the problem is his launcher being unable to connect to minecraft.net. It's been happening to some people lately, as shown by this topic, so I'm not sure if there is even a fix for it.

I've been checking the support section for the past 5-6 days, helping people. Nice to see I'm not alone haha.

You never replied, is your graphics card up to date? And have you checked your computer for viruses?
Downloading packages
Retrieving: lwjgl.jar 6% @197.01 KB/secnow it says
Fatal error occured (4): Connection reset

Delete your .minecraft folder, reinstall Java, redownload the Minecraft.exe to your desktop hit force update again, and it should work.
Did it work? If not, try shutting off your router then turning it back on after 35 seconds or so.

Just go to google and search it if you can't find your answers here.

Why won't it let me play in online mode?
Is it a premium account? Did you buy it?
I did indeed buy it.
