i was on a friend's server about 2 weeks ago when minecraft froze. When i opened it back up i got a grey screen on the launcher. I can't click any of the login buttons on this screen unless i restart my computer and open it up again without opening anything else beforehand or i turn my internet off.
i've tried deleting the .minecraft folder and i have also tried uninstalling java and re-installing it again.
my laptop's specs are:
manufacturer - alienware
model - alienware M11XR3
processor - Intel(r) Core(TM) i5-2537M CPU @ 1.40GHz 1.40 GHz
Installed memory (RAM) - 4.00GB
system type - 64-bit operating system
Fatal error 4 is a connection reset in Java. The MC host servers are having problems right now, so thats probably whats causing problems. Gonna need to wait until the servers are sorted.
And don't ask how long.... still not sure whats behind this outage (could be another DDOS attack).
i've had problems connecting to the in browser before the servers went down, except i didn't get the fatal error, it just did not download anything, it would get stuck on the first thing to come up

if i try play it in browser, i get an error message saying - Fatal error occurred (4)
And don't ask how long.... still not sure whats behind this outage (could be another DDOS attack).
